- This position is a part of the Commercial organization’s Network and Schedule Planning Team.
- Working cooperatively with several teams in Network Planning, Operations Planning, and the rest of the Commercial organization, they are in charge of assessing and creating upcoming network schedules that are intended to enhance American’s profitability.

Responsibilities:
- Team up with stakeholders in network planning, revenue management, and operations planning to create and optimize an industry-leading network.
- Create schedules in the AirVision Schedule Manager environment that adhere to operational restrictions, support our commercial strategy goals, and enhance network profitability.
- Be proactive and take the initiative to conduct data analysis to address scheduling optimization issues, come up with creative solutions to alter capacity allocation depending on the day of the week and on holidays, and accommodate high passenger demand for special events.
- Be flexible and quick to respond to shifts in the supportability and demand environment so that you can quickly adjust your timetable.
- Give several levels of leadership advice, tradeoffs, and P&L results regarding day of the week, special event, and holiday capacity allocation.
- In interactions with other internal and external organizations, such as those of the airports, represent Network Planning.
Requirements:
- Minimum requirements include education and previous work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable training/experience
- Three years’ experience in the field
Preferred qualifications.
- Master’s Degree
- 2 years’ worth of expertise in airline network planning, revenue management, or financial analysis
- Ability to use knowledge of the airline industry and commercial goals to achieve outcomes and creative solutions
- the capacity to adapt to new concepts and business procedures in a constantly-evolving market.
- Possibility to push oneself and others to create future-focused network strategies
- A capacity for collaboration and communication, working with cross-functional teams to achieve results that are beneficial to the entire airline
- Able to effectively share knowledge to increase the team’s collective competence
- Having familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Becoming familiar with AirVision Schedule Manager
