Own application of Mental Health Parity for Individual and Family Plans (IFP) and Small Group business
Responsibilities:
- Work with Individual and Family Plans (IFP) business pricing leads to analyze the current Mental Health Parity tool. Determine if the existing tool and testing process is appropriate for the IFP and small group benefits and pricing cycle.
- Develop an IFP Mental Health Parity specific testing process. Redesign or create an IFP specific Mental Health Parity testing tool by utilizing the standard testing methodology while building out the functionality needed to test unique IFP plan designs.
- Ownership over periodic updates needed for items such as new state regulations, new benefit designs, and updated claims experience. Pull and analyze the claims distribution annually to reflect recent claims experience and consider future impact items.
- Coordinate with IFP matrix partners on applicable filings, working with the states as necessary to clear Mental Health Parity legislative hurdles.
- Solution Strategy Support
- Act as a liaison between the IFP pricing and specialty pricing teams. Become a subject matter expert in both the IFP business and Mental Health Parity regulations.
- Work with IFP pricing and product teams to help them understand how Mental Health Parity will impact proposed plans. Provide strategic guidance on potential plan design solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Business Administration or related field
- 0-2 years of actuarial, business analytics, finance, or related work experience
- Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical skills in Excel
- Ability to identify problem areas and take initiative to implement solutions

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual pay of 65,700 – 109,500 USD / annually, based on relevant parameters, including experience and geographic area.
Additionally, it is anticipated that this position will qualify for an annual bonus program.
