Responsibilities:

• Working on overhead rates, project costs, program completion estimates, and billings for cost+ jobs. (A cost plus job includes actual labor and materials as well as the contractor’s profit and overhead.)
• Ensures that the business process for capturing, recording, and summarizing financial/cost transactions complies with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), as well as any supplemental regulations, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
• Create and maintain financial models for decision support, such as those used in product life cycle processes, capital expenditure justifications, and make vs. buy decisions.
• Assignments may necessitate the upkeep of organizational metrics, special projects, and other financial reporting on-site.
• External (DCAA/DCMA) and internal audits are supported.

Requirements:

Additional Qualifications and Skills

• 1 year or more of accounting or financial experience
• Working knowledge of general ledger software and Excel
• Accounting or finance bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
• Cost Accounting experience in manufacturing or as a government/defense contractor
