Position Description:

The Account Protection Specialist is in charge of utilizing fraud management techniques/tools while reviewing existing Checking/Savings accounts to identify potential fraudulent activity and minimize the potential loss to American Express by gathering and analyzing pertinent data to determine the appropriate course of action. The Account Protection Specialist will be in charge of addressing inbound/outbound account calls while maintaining a professional working relationship between American Express, the customer, and external banks. Other duties include recognizing fraud tendencies and developing continual process improvements.

Qualifications Preferred

• Working knowledge of online deposit banking products
• Ability to manage numerous activities successfully while moving through work concurrently
• Must be capable of making decisions and providing recommendations in uncertain situations using intuitive and logical reasoning skills.
• Should be able to digest and synthesize significant amounts of financial and other information from a variety of sources.
• Good computer literacy, including a working grasp of current internet technology, the capacity to investigate material for commercial reasons, and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs are required.
• Capability to manage change well and remain cool in challenging situations
• Self-motivated and dedicated to achieving achievements via professional business maturity
• Excellent written and vocal communication abilities are required.
