Position Description:
Based in either the Mid-Atlantic or Southeast region of the United States, the Account Manager will identify new customers and maintain current relationships as we continue to increase marketing and sales revenue within the US Army (USA) and US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) business segments. As we expand into new market verticals and industries, the ideal candidate is a self-motivated, autonomous, and creative individual. This individual will possess high geographic intelligence and business acumen, as well as a propensity for learning new things.
Impact You Will Have:
- Focus on the following industries: US Army to include FORSCOM and INSCOM troops; US Special Operations Command to include the (5) Component Commands as well as other organizations, agencies, and mission partners.
- Identify, qualify, negotiate, and complete large-scale complicated deals and drive sales revenue targets.
- Have a technical expertise of geospatial intelligence products and/or a relevant technological sector, as well as an understanding of our customer groups.
- Assist in the formation, development, and administration of a Planet Federal Program Management team in order to discover and capture prime contracting initiatives throughout the US Army, USSOCOM, and other US Intelligence Community entities.
- Assist with the organization, administration, and management of a USSOCOM Classified CRADA program.
- Develop a robust pipeline of new sales possibilities, organize product and sales demos for prospective clients, and establish proper commercial contacts within the US Army and US SOCOM divisions.
- Manage funnel from new logos and traverse allocated accounts to discover new commercial prospects and grow connections.
- Identify channel and reseller ties to grow market presence, and seek out new alliances as required.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineers on meetings and presentations with prospects, produce bids, and present pricing to executive-level buyers.
- Provide and update weekly, monthly, and quarterly business predictions.

What You Offer:
- Prospecting and acquiring new consumers with a track record of success
- 10+ years of comparable expertise in Software and/or Data as a Service sales Experience selling to federal clients, DoD services, and intelligence community COCOMs.
- Knowledge and actual application of methodology- MEDDPIC and/or Value Based Selling Enterprise and/or SaaS technical sales experience is necessary, as is a record of accomplishment.
- Capacity to accurately estimate and manage a pipeline of prospects.
- Ability to find, sell, co-sell, and complete large deals; familiarity with carrying quota and closing.
- Capacity for in-depth investigation and relationship-building to engage in complex pricing discussions
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously under tight constraints in a start-up environment Proven experience collaborating with people on a worldwide scale
- Experience in drafting sales agreements and contracts
- Critical reasoning and inventive problem-solving
- Eligible to acquire a security clearance from the US Government
- Experience with customer relationship management, outreach tools, and forecasting systems is preferable
